Salvador is indisputably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Due to its very beauty and to a series of unique features, it has become a primary destination for international tourism. With its 365 Churches, one for each day of the year, Salvador is famous for its history, for its legacy of people from other continents, for its mixes of race, color and costumes, for its unique religious "syncretism" (i.e., its meld of Condomble and Catholicism), for its hospitable people, for the artistic and cultural melting pot that the city is and for many others tangible virtues.

Carnaval in Salvador is simply the BIGGEST HUMAN ARTISTIC ENDEAVOR ON EARTH. Salvador’s Carnaval is in the Guinness Book of World Record as the "Largest Street Carnival". 2 million people, including 800,000 tourists from all over the world, travel to Salvador each year to join this unforgettable spectacle. The Carnaval of Salvador, Bahia is definitely unique. Although its style is the most imitated throughout the country there can only be one peak energy concentration of people party power. You don't have to dance in the streets to know you are at the center of the greatest annual catalytic ball of energy created on the planet!

With 200 plus Carnaval groups parading over seven days, and 16 miles of irresistible dancing streets. You can't find more groups or more people anywhere than at this great people's party place in Brazil.

When you come to Salvador’s Carnaval you will not be the same. Your body mind and soul will be magically imbued with the most mysterious and powerful stage of happiness. Everything is possible in Salvador, the land of happiness and magic. Come, see and believe. Be a part of this remarkable occasion. Join the 7 days of Carnaval!

Brazil is waiting for you!
